Highlights: Guided previously installed native, drought tolerant lawn through partial dormant period in late summer so lawn could rebound once seasonal rains returned. Homeowners proudly adopted Californian's "BROWN is the new GREEN" motto for our persistent drought. Added new water-wise California native and Mediterranean climate plants for seasonal color and property screening. Rearranged or removed other existing plantings in complement with overall design concept. Leaf drop from onsite trees provides primary mulch. Worked with maintenance crew for site to become drought tolerant landscape showcase.
